Typographic Journey

I journeyed from new cross gate to Charing Cross station and then explore South West London to Central London. Through out my journey I encountered Interesting typography that questioned me about what typography really is.

I took this picture when i was around central London/Soho and the first thing  I noticed about the picture is the “cheap Monday “then the skull.  Although the skull entices you it could also mean danger. Danger to the health and dangerously fun out of your head. I love the way its letter are placed as it show happy, all over the place fun.

i took this picture in the home department of the Shop Liberty. The placard is just organised and arranged and put together as people might put their home together

Yellow is known to being an attention getter and also bring out a warm feeling to people and i think that's why the logo stands out but what even made it stand out more was the use of colour black with bold outline of the letter. this commands power and helped pushed out the yellow while the red in mine opinion symbolize love.
First of all, the design is a pretty design that can only grab the attention of sport fans. I like the way they replaced the letter “o” with a football and half shaped moon. The half moon shows exactly when most football games are played. Which is the evening to night time. The word are quite playful and informal and also appealing to females sport fans which shows that football just doesn’t appeal to men but it also appeal to women.
The North Face is a clothing store They Used The Basic Arial Black Font. I Think Its Arial Black. The use of the font shows that they are addressing this to everyone. Its a very formal addressing and the use of white shows purity while the red background brings out the letters more. And it also brings emotional intense loving feeling.
